General Education Development (GED) Tests


Who
Everyone who wants to take a GED Test is welcome in the program.
Where & When

Practice GED Tests are available at the Adult Basic Education Lab, Campus Center, Room 208. We are open:

Monday - Friday 9 am - 3 pm and
Monday - Thurday, 6 pm - 9 pm

Are you 16 or 17?
 
You will need a signed parental permission slip and an official withdrawal form.
GED Check -up
1 ½ - 2 hours
 
Complete a TABE Assessment - a timed activity including reading and math items.  The TABE results determine areas in which you may need additional work before taking the Official Practice GED tests.

How long you need to study depends on your academic level.  You and your instructor determine when you are ready for the Official GED tests.
Post-TABE
 
Available at the ABE Lab.  You need to take a post-TABE Test before GED completion.
Official GED Tests
 
Upon completion of the post-TABE and Official Practice GED tests, make an appointment for the Official GED Test at the Test Center.
